Over the last few years, I worked closely with Tetherless World Constellation Professors on several Semantic Web and e-Science related projects. One of the projects I worked with Professor Fox is called Multi-Sensor Data Synergy Advisor (MDSA). The goal is to use semantic web technologies and ontologies to build online tools for data access, visualization and analysis and support data inter-comparisons from different sensors or models.

The Jefferson Project at Lake George is a historic partnership of The FUND for Lake George, IBM, RPI and Rensselaer's Darrin Fresh Water Institute to make Lake George a global model for ecosystem understanding and protection. By creating predictive capacities that harness latest science to light the path forward, this model aims to deliver ecological and market benefits that are widely felt, in the U.S. and worldwide.

Rensselaer Professor Deborah McGuinness Collaborates on New $15 Million NSF Award for DataONE Environmental Science Project

The National Science Foundation has awarded $15 million to a team of environmental and earth science data researchers, including researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, who are providing tools and infrastructure that improve access to vast amounts of scientific data.
