Professor Science and Technology Studies

My interests are in developing collaborations between social research (problems in race, class and gender; sustainability; poverty) and science and technology research (complexity theory, cybernetics, nanotechnology). Much of my work approaches this intersection through "generative justice," the bottom-up circulation of unalienated value. This includes computational models of indigenous knowledge in STEM education, technologies for ecologically sustainable production techniques and the enhancement of artisanal labor with automated tools.
